Bogen's Steakhouse & Bar is located in a beautiful, older
home built around 1915.
It is located just two blocks from the Virginia Tech campus.
It was a private residence until 1970, when it was rented to students. In
1982, Bill Ellenbogen, a former Virginia Tech and NFL football player,
completely remodeled the home and opened Bogen's.
In 2004, Bogen's was purchased by five of its long time employees:
Mike Harris, Dave Edmonds, Danny Hulshizer, Bill Nygaard, & Fred Umberger.
With over 100 years experience in the restaurant industry,
they have a commitment to maintain
Bogen's place as Blacksburg's finest restaurant.
Each room in Bogen's is unique, from its casual deck and balcony for outside
dining, to its two banquet rooms, which are available
for private meetings. In the unique second floor, Bogen's has on display a photographic
history of
Blacksburg. It shows the town's growth from a dirt road main street
populated with more horses than people, to the bustling university community
that it is today. A large TV, a VCR, a DVD player, and a projection screen
are all available for your meeting.
If you are looking for lively fun, try Bogen's great sports bar area, with
many TVs, pool tables, darts and the latest video games.
